This beautiful hand-painted surfboard, Sunshine with the Tides, was created by Lisa Evans, a Wiradjuri artist from New South Wales. Lisa has been painting for over 35 years and draws inspiration from her connection to Country, the natural environment, and her own life stories. Her work is known for its rich colours, storytelling, and deep sense of place.
In Sunshine with the Tides, flowing patterns and vibrant tones reflect the rhythm and movement of the ocean. Warm sunlit hues meet layered tidal forms, evoking the feeling of light dancing across water and the ever-changing energy of the sea.
Lisa visits our shop once a year, and we purchase her artwork directly from her during these visits. Each piece is therefore not only a unique work of art, but also a special connection to the artist herself.
